I'm very sorry to hear of the loss of Doug. I've never met him in person, but he has always been a huge help to us and myself, as I've bought parts etc from him and gotten great advice and help. Thank you Doug. He will be missed by the community here for sure...

I am so sorry Donna. :frown-blue: Doug has got to be one of the most meticulous individuals with these cars that I have ever known. He was just a genius and such a great asset to this forum and others. RIP Doug. :'(

I havent been around in a while, life has been busy. When I read the news on facebook, I knew I had to take some time and find the right place to send my condolences.

DLF always seem to take time to answer my stupid questions and help me with my little problems. His posts were always 100% fact. He was a great value on these forums. He wil lbe greatly missed by someone who did not even truly know him.

RIP DLF

I'm at a loss for words here... I happened to catch this on Facebook after my friend wished me a happy fathers day and couldn't believe what I was reading. I immediately came on here and saw this thread :(

My condolences to you Donna. Doug was a great man, and an irreplaceable part of the Mark and Thunderbird community. I'm still in shock while I write this... There is so much more I want to say but the words just won't come out...

Doug, the several times I met you and your wife, I appreciated when you helped me with my transmission and during a snow storm no less. I appreciate you putting me up for the night while we were working on my car. I am truly sorry to hear of your passing and since the original thread was locked felt the need to express this communities deep loss of your passion for Mark's and life, go fast and sleep well my friend.
Donna - My Families deepest condolences.

I don't think that there was a question about a Mark VIII that he could not answer. He was a piece of the Mark VIII community that can never be replaced. RIP Doug.

I would like to express condolences from myself and a few of my friends with mark viii's that don't frequent this forum. There are parts that he has made on each of our cars. His ability, attention to detail, and participation on this forum will be missed!I got the chance to meet Doug at least once at Carlisle, maybe twice, I can't remember. RIP, we will all miss you!

Donna - My condolences to you and your family. This is so sad to hear, and Doug will be missed by me personally and these Mark VIII message boards. I met Doug (and you) a couple of times while he worked on my rusty 98 Mark VIII in his awesome garage. I also raced with him at Englishtown Raceway Park and Atco Raceway many times. His knowledge of Mark VIII’s was second to none (not to mention his knowledge of Super Coupes and Mustang Cobras). I still think his Super Coupe is one of the coolest cars ever :) RIP Doug. – Ken Kropac
