That's a different way to get it done. Haha! Looks hacked until you cover it all up (and take the damn argon gas cylinder out). :)

Its like cramming 10 pounds of crap in a 2 pound box lol. I understand how it looks messy at first, but I'm very happy with the finished result.

Why don't you use your trunk for all the other junk? ;)

Thought I'd revive this thread with some more updates. I got a text one day from a friend saying he was going a different direction and that some of his parts would be coming up for sale. It was a price I couldn't refuse so It begun this winter and springs round of mods.

I had a leaky throw out bearing so I decided that I might as well pull the whole motor and trans because what would be the point of putting all this stuff on the car it the engine bay looked really bad. Along the way I found many issues that needed addressed. Bad motor mounts, Clutch was getting thin, a upper control arm was shot (thankfully had replaced it with a lifetime warranty one already), rust in the engine bay and a bad evap tray.

Since I have very little body work skills I started replacing things on the motor after work when I had the time and energy. Left the engine bay till last when I had some help.

I kind of got carried away at times and forgot to take pics so there are some gaps in here. But I got a final pic (before headers) of the motor on the stand

Next I wanted to add a short throw shifter to the mix and with the way my setup works it was definitely easier to do while the trans was out.

Had to modify the rails that I use for the dual shifters.

I ended up going with a Steeda Tri-ax because I knew it would work with the style shifter that I needed for my linkage.

Next I used my imrc's to make delete plates out of them. Just some JB wield in the holes and smoothing them out.

Then I used my new toy to gasket match the the intake maifold.

Just threw some Dykem on the manifolds and scratched around the gaskets. Idk how much this really helped but, I figured it couldnt hurt much.

The prep work for the engine bay was next and possibly the hardest/longest part for me. I discovered that I am not called to be a body man.

First off the fingers on the passenger side were almost completely rusted through. We cut that out and wielded in a patch panel. Same story for down by the frame.

So I for balance we cut the fingers off the drivers side as well. Filled the whole thing with filler and scuffed everything for paint.

Finally time for the install.

All cleaned up and ready for the first car show

Next time I have it up in the air I need to take some pics of the exhaust.

Dad and I pieced together a custom 2.5" mandrel exhaust with a x pipe and 2 LMS mufflers.

Hope you all enjoy looking at the pics as much as I like the finished product. A Big thanks to Toph and my Father. Every time I got stuck one of them would come bail me out. It might of taken way longer than most can do it but I'm proud to say I did it.
