    stuck oil filter

Well started getting an oil leak, housing gasket I suspect, leaked when cold, but not when warmer and I pulled in the garage. Anyways, started drain cooling, went to pull filter and it was pretty beat up. The dealer had it changed. Would not budge with cap wrench, strap wrench, squeeze...

FS: 1994 Mark VIII white base $1999

this vehicle is in Vinita OK, at Bob Hart Chev, looked pretty good online (CL, autotrader, etc), but it is rough. Just FYI before anyone made a trip. Biggest concern driver door bent on bottom (wind noise driving) and under body in front of driver rear wheel. Several other spots, but those...

buzz at start up, Amp bypass, air pump runs when car off

I'd posted earlier about a buzz at start up. Pretty sure it was the cell phone, unplugged box back by amp and seems to have stopped. Was messing with stereo, key out and the air pump kicked on for a couple seconds. Thought this would only run when car started. Tried an amp bypass by scosche...

converted to duals-no drone at hwy speed

I had a 95 with a higher ratio rear end, not sure what it was, it ran about 2300 rpm at 70. It had a magnaflow dual in/out in place of 3rd converter then straight pipes back. Was too loud or droned at hwy speed. Just put a heartthrob dual in/out w straight pipes on my 94, but this car is base...

    no more chrome comb-modified grill

modified my grill by cutting out the teeth, bondo around a paint can on sides, attaching grill to back. Ok from 10 ft back. Will look for another frame to try again now I have a better idea what I'm doing. Twice the bondo, 10 x the sanding of someone w experience, oh well:)

I gotta buz, but want to lose it

When I start my 94 up, there's an static hum, that whines with motor speed. Not to age myself, but my cars in the 70s with amps used to do that when it was do for a tune-up and they came out with resistor plugs and wires :) This is like that, but it stops after about a minute. Stereo can on...

    Rear shocks and mounts-bargain

Last year I bought rear shock and mount package from AmerAir, took forever to get, waiting on mounts to be made. My latest Mark needs shocks, looked around, you can get them on Amazon and got t-bird sensa tracs. Altogether under $90, for what I paid about $150 last year and waited over a month...

    is 8 the lucky number?

Will be picking up my 8th Mark VIII on Saturday, black 94 w 115k, very well maintained, may finally have a keeper (plus the grey 94 I picked up Labor day weekend), got my other 2 for sale (one pretty committed for the 20th). So as soon as I get my 95 out of the tech center for A/C repair, I'll...

bad air ride solution-not for driving on roadways

I had a parts car with bad front air bags, was difficult to move and get jack under. So I took a 2" long piece of 1 1/2 sch 40 water pipe, split it, opened the top of the air bag and snapped it over the internal shaft (while jacked up). The car now sets about normal, of course this would not...

Official joined, but been visiting here awhile

Last spring I started looking for a 2 door v-8, 2nd adolescence issue. My last was a 95 t-bird, my adolescent son wrecked. Was actually looking for another t-bird when I came across a Mark VIII. Bought the first on in July 2012, have since bought a total of 6, my significant other has been...
