2008 Carlisle

Anyone ready to start planning this event??

Let me know if you want the Saturday night banquet at the same place; I will be glad to set it up.

Hopefully, we can come down off the mountain this year, and be closer to the action!! I loved it when we were "down" on the showfield!

I'm ready. I'm tired of winter already! :frown:

I think we would be hard pressed to find a better venue for the Saturday night banquet.

I was wondering when this topic was going to arrive. :) I'm looking forward to it, even if I'll only be coming for Saturday (which happens to be my birthday... lol). Can I register if I'll only be there for one day? Cause I really want to be able to have my car alongside all y'alls good looking Marks. ;)

Oh by the way, at the moment it looks like I won't be at Carlisle during the day on Saturday! :( My high school had the audacity to schedule my 40th Reunion on Saturday. So I'll be there Thursday and Friday and Saturday night but Saturday day I'll have to take a run up to Blairstown, NJ for my reunion. I'll be back in time for the banquet. If the weather is really bad then I'll be sticking around.

Absolutely! :) Quite a few people attend Saturday only.

The secret to attending Carlisle is to register for the 'Fun Field' instead of paying spectator ticket price and outside parking fees. You get to park on the show field whether or not you want to be judged in the show.

BUT as previously said, PRE-regisitration is vital. Pre-registering is what determines the field layout, car classes and available space.

If you belong to a club, enter the full club name. Please do not abbreviate the club name.

Use "Lincolns of Distinction" for our club name when registering. ;)

Filling out the preregistration form... for club, should I put "Lincolns of Distinction" or just "LOD"?

[edit] Haha well I guess I might nead to go back to junior high reading class... lol

Shall I wait for a few more votes? We should probably have our reservations made by the end of January . . . .

I really like where we've been having the dinner; the food is great, and the staff treats us very well!

Yes, that's a great place.

I even enjoyed walking to the table. That place is like a maze with more than one way out. You can take many different paths to get to the same table.:D

Ok, the dinner reservations are set.
Sunnyside Restaurant
850 N. Hanover Street
Carlisle, PA
717-243-5712
June 7 @ 8:00pm
Meadow Room
25 people + trophy table

Also, I am pre-registered for the showfield now!

You guys should go to the Carlisle website, and fill out their survey of last years' show . . . very thorough, and sounds like they really want our feedback. I did it!

By the way, anyone wishing to stay at the Comfort Suites should reserve NOW. They fill up very fast, it may even be too late already. 717-960-1000

25 people? Are we all gonna fit in there? lol

We have been . . . spouses and kids are welcome, of course. If everything works out, a couple of our local friends will be coming to Carlisle with us this year, and they'll join us for the dinner as well. It's not strictly for card-carrying club members :love-it:

Oh, a quick question on Carlisle admission. I didn't see anything on the website about this, but the $40 preregistration fee is for the car, right? I'm planning on brining a good friend of mine with me cause she's a Ford fanatic (and I don't want to be lonely on the drive there and back :D); are there any extra fees I'd have to pay to cover her in, too?
