I recently installed a new 3.73 FRPP center section. The car is currently in the shop getting the transmiison overhauled. The tranmission guy said he drove the car 40 miles and the transmission never locked up the TC. He has not removed the transmission yet and diagnosed the problem, which was the car would not take off from a stop while in drive. The only way I could get the car to move was put it in low then manually shift. Will the new gears affect the lockup feature of the TC? I don't think the new gears will require a chip change. Any ideas or suggestions. TIA.
