It comes with an adaptor for the schrader valve and a 90 degree swivel fitting - both which I did not use. With the schrader valve and adaptor, the gauge sat too high. I removed the schrader valve from the fuel rail and installed a straight pipe adaptor from the fuel rail to the gauge for a permanent mount. For remote pressure readings, I can temporarily install a length of high pressure fuel hose from the rail to the gauge.

Noob question/comment here, would the fact that it's an adjustable fuel pressure regualtor make a difference? Like maybe a non-adjustable one holds pressure, but the adjustable ones reset to zero every time?????

???

The adjustable pressure regulator works the same in principle as the stock regulator. BUT IMHO, any spring biased mechanical regulator will 'wear' over time loosing the pressure setting from when it was new. Of course with an adjustable regulator, you can compensate for pressure losses by simply raising the regulator setting slightly. By replacing a tired stock regulator you can regain those pressure losses that were slowly lost over time. But to the average driver it probably means nothing but bling under the hood. LOL! :)

Sorry to bring this up, JP, but if you didn't use these fittings, I could prolly use them with my new electric FP gauge. You still have them ? what size are they ?

Yeah, I should still have 'em. I'll look in the garage this evening.

You can extend the guage with 5 ft of 3/16" copper tubing (2) flare nuts (2) 1/8"IPS X 3/16" Flair adapters.

The sender is very small, it almost looks like a temp sensor on the crossover, so I'll just let it sit on the rail. Thanx though.

Sorry I was assuming that you already had a guage adapter. That is the small adapter that scrwes in where the schrader valve was. Most speed shops that sell guages have them. I bought mine at the World Ford Challange for $4.00 think every vendor there had them

I've got the 1/16 to 1/8 straight adapter and an L adapter. All is well now, I should've bought this electric gauge a long time ago.

Cool. Got pics of the install? :)

Well, I made this 3 gauge panel that will be incorporated into the slot above the cd player. It's made out of brazilian maple, and it resembles the stock wood alike plastic very close. Right now the fuel pressure gauge took the old spot of the boost gauge, since there is really no use for it at the moment. But soon it will change :D :D :D

RE: Something's amiss

After few hours I noticed something weird. The pressure goes down to 15psi after 2hrs or so, and then almost to zero after 4+ hrs. It this correct ? I have no problems with idle and WOT pressure when the pump is running. Would this mean there is a leak in the system somewhere ?

From initial post...

According to the manual the supply manifold pressure should remain within 5 psi of shut-off pressure for 1 minute. Assuming a shut-off pressure of 30 PSI, it should take six minutes or more to bleed to near zero.

I haven't checked my residual fuel pressure for quite a while. But I think you're OK.
