Very nice! If you only have $4k into it, was a GIFT ... or was it WRECKED? :)

You obviously got your money's worth. Very nice indeed.

RE: base 97 Toreador/Ebony

Nope. In a perfect example of karmic balance, my ex-mother-in-law, who helped my ex hide assets and screw me for a couple of hundred thou in the divorce, went broke. My ex-father-in-law (a pretty cool guy, former fighter pilot in 3 wars) had had a stroke and couldnt drive it any more. So the ex-m-i-l got estimates to fix up the car for sale. Lincoln dealer said $4000+ ($1200 headlight, $900 door panel, etc). SO I came in and offered $2K for it, and she took it. I did all the repairs for about $525 in parts. Putting all the money I saved into mods. I figure I'll have about six or six and a half in it by the time I'm done with a rather long list of mods (see General Discussion forum for the list).

Yeah, even modest talent with a wrench can get you a hell of a deal on a car.

EDIT: This was to magic marker. Guess I hit the wrong reply link

Carlo,

Checked yours out. You got a nice ride too, man. Are those Cobra R's? Black would have been my color of choice, but I couldnt pass up the deal on this car, and it *is* my second favorite color combo.
