Best Spark plugs for Gen 2?

RE: Best Spark plugs for Gen 2?

Since opinions will vary widely, perhaps it would be best to narrow the field by asking, "What is the best plugs for ________________ to use on our Gen. 2 Marks???"

RE: Best Spark plugs for Gen 2?

Okay........I read for an hour on the Spark Plug Subject!!

Here is my final question:

With the Mods. I have now and plan to do very soon which is the best Plug for my car?? (764's gap .048 or AWSF-22 gap? or AWSF12FM1 gap?)
Mods:
1. New Magnaflow Mufflers.
2. LMS Chip
3. LMS MAF w/K&N Cone Filter (very soon)
4. New "High" Flow Cats. (Friday if all go's well):)
5. "X" Pipe. (very soon)
6. Change Fuel Filter (very soon)
7. ???

I do want to take advantage of "All" the Mods. with getting the best plugs, and I don't mind changing them every 20-30K miles.

Thanks Guy's for all the help!!!

Thanks Again, Joe

RE: Best Spark plugs for Gen 2?

My personal favorite is the awsf 22c.Geo loves the autolites but that just cause hes cheap and doesn't want to spring for the extra 1.50 a plug.LOL

RE: Best Spark plugs for Gen 2?

According to the electronic matching computer at WalMart, the Autolite 764 is the stock plug for our Marks. They sell them here in Jacksonville for $1.96 a pair ($0.98 each).

Does this mean that the 764s are of the original heat range?

RE: Best Spark plugs for Gen 2?

For some reason, I was under the impression that the 764's were 1/2 step colder... Are they at all different?
