Greetings everyone!

So Steve's "Jalopies and Java" comment in another thread got me thinking. Do we have any interest in trying to depart from the "all booze, all the time" theme we have perfected, yet never seem to win an award for?

"Jalopies and Java" conjured up images of a tasteful European sidewalk cafe, complete with tablecloths and umbrellas. Albeit with my rusty '86 Town Car parked in the middle somewhere.

Last year, we had discussed the option of a "Presidential Secret Service detail" theme as well, with the Mrs. Driller-mobile as the Presidential limo, (and her as president?) With a focus on the black Mark VIII's, and most members dressed as G-Men.

Any other ideas? thoughts? I'm not sold on any, or any particular idea, but was thinking that if we do wish to compete successfully, an early start to the planning would be required.

Kind of a hybrid ar-15/ak-47, its a sig 556. It does use standard ar-15 mags though. I've had it out to 300 yards, its damn consistent. I wish there were some ranges to try out 600 yards or so around here...

yea, I have a LOT of 30 round magazines for it, probably 30 or so.... I HATE reloading mags at the range (yes, they are called mags, not "clips" although its common to be called that)

Although if I'm shooting prone the 10rd ones make more sense since they don't hit the ground.
