Edelbrock Heads

ok my friend mike thats into the old school musle cars tells me that if I want power out of my engine I should get some heads for my mark VIII.
So I went to the shop and they said about 1300 for a pair of some performance Edelbrock heads and about 720 each for the even better ones.


What I want to know is has anybody else put performance heads on there mark VIII, Because I havent seen it. And I have a feeling the guy was showing me the mustang cobra heads, which will or will not fit on the engine, I dont know.
 
Then look for a 99-up Cobra heads and intake...that should suffice, can find them usually off ebay or stang site somewhat cheap.
