Anyone know what that part is next to the Idle control valve ? It looks like it has some kind of rod going into the intake. It's not the egr it is on the other side

It appears you are describing the IMRC(Intake Manifold Runner Control) vacuum motor. There is one each side.

You may be right, That is the part that was making the whistleing sound like a vacuume leak that i have been looking for when the engine got up to operating temps. I sprayed it with carb cleaner and the whistle went away but the idle still studders a little sometimes. it did not show up in the codes as faulty

Hook up a vacuum gauge. Disconnect and plug that vacuum line to the IMRC vacuum motor and see if that makes a difference. If it does, there is your leak.

Everything is good now I took both valves and cleaned them real good and it made the car run so much better no more slight miss or anything. also improved cold starts as well
