Engine Difference Early 97 , Late 97/98 !

Anybody,

Please tell me the difference between early 97 production ( to 23/97 ) and late production ( from 2/4/97 and 98 ) !

What problems would you have installing an early engine in a late production vehicle !

should be no appreciable differences between the same model year.

EEC might be a little different, but should be interchangeable.

I know that the operating system in the EEC-V was changed sometime in early 1997. Basically internal PCM differences.

As far as engine and accesories, I am pretty sure they are spot on the same. I have never heard of any differences.

In fact the only thing I can think of is the 98 has different harware for the top 2 alternator mounting bolts as it doesn't hav ethe plastic cover the 97s have. Thats it!
