Good cheap fast car

Let not forget.

Yes well that's what i thought.

However if it is like the Mark VIII and same year Cobras/GT's I know the engines are a lot different.

Thanks, J, (and Google)

I suppose there's not much point in trying to "upgrade" mine at this point. :)

You're welcome and that is not true. You can make yours a "roller" very easily, stock used parts are cheap. You'll just need to add two "keeper" studs for the roller lifter hold downs, that's it. If you go after market roller lifters, you may not even need to modify anything as they will have different hold downs or keepers.

Best upgrade and coolest sounding.....If you don't need to smog it up there in MN, get an "X" came and gear drive. Here, listen... :)

So mark Vii and fox bodys do have the same 5.0?

Correct me if im wrong but the 5.0 liter has a better power/money ratio when compared to the 4.6 as far ad modifications go.

Yes, same engine and yes, cheaper to fix up. Do a search on Summit for 5.0 parts.

Nope....like I mentioned above, the T-Birds have a NON-roller motor. It's something like 5-15 HP difference.

So you did, I need to stop looking at this stuff on my phone, I miss stuff too easily.

I think my preference would be a t bird w a mark vii/mustang engine.

But, when the time comes I'll get a quote, maybe I'll fine a cheap stang that needs an engine and or tranny rebuild and beef both of those up.

My real goal would be cams and maybe nitrous, forced induction is probably too much.

You'll find an old T-bird of Mark 7 for less than a Mustang. If you're gonig to do some minor mods, the engine being a "roller" isn't going to really matter. The main thing will be to convert it to a stick. The AOD's are garbage.
