RE: Thanks, Ice
RE: Thanks, Ice
Wow, thanks for all the compliments. I'll try to respond!
First, some background. I've wanted one of these since they were new. I was working at Ford in Dearborn at the time...got to see 'em drive one into a wall before they were released. When it came time for me to find a car that fits my 6'7" body and hand controls, it was a logical choice. Searched the web for a '98 that met my dream, and then realized that I was limiting myself by excluding the '97. Boom! This one showed up in Ohio...a ladies car. Had 'bout 62K on it. I believe it has everything except the heated seats, homelink, and something else I can't remember right now. A 60GB iPod Photo now sits in the console in place of the Fordfone.
The iPod is connected to a Pioneer N2 AV Tuner w/ a 6.5" LCD touch screen, Voice control DVD/XM navigation, XM Navtraffic, XM Radio, and a Pioneer 12 disk CD changer. Since I put all my CD's on the iPod, I can't decide what to do with the CD changer any more. I can also play DVD's in the dash...don't tell anyone, but the interlock is bypassed so I could THEORETICALLY watch movies and drive....not that I would EVAR do such a thing...
There are six Alpine speakers in the cabin, and 2 12" JL Audio Subs in a custom box in the trunk, all driven by 2 JL Audio amps. This is the SICKEST sound I have ever heard in a car, my buddies were taking it out for drives just to crank the tunes up! And for the icing on the cake, I added the Passport SR7 Radar/Laser deterrance system with the remote laser shifters. There went One Credit Card. The rear and side quarters have limo tint, the sides are a slightly less illegal gradation.
The pic was actually taken by the restuarant behind Wyandotte General Hospital...close to the Pier....
The wheels are 17" Pilots, wearing 245/50R17 Michelen Pilot Sports. Belle Tire hooked me up, I really like 'em too.
Lowering....dunno....how about some pro's and con's?
I'm trying to get my performance work scheduled...I need her to run as good as she looks. Even now, she can give off a pretty good chirp with a hard launch on dry pavement. I can only imagine what I have in store for me!
I boinked the spot between the passenger side wheelwell while parking the other day...IDIOT!!!!! %@@@XXX&%!!!!!! Have to hide it till I can get it fixed.
Im flattered that you like the shot...is it really good enough for a calendar? Personally, I'd hold off for a week or so so I can get some really good planned professional quality shots...I'm a much better photographer than this. When do you need a final pic?
Enough patting myself on the back...thanks for listening! Looking forward to meeting some of you soon!
