HID Conversion......What is all needed?

You can use HID's with your original housings, it will work just fine. It just wont be as good with the clear housings. the 95 - 96 LSC housings are hard to find, and if you do find them, they are quite expensive!
That's what I am hopeing for.Finding the housings.I figure if I can find just those I can buy the kit from VVME.If I find everything that would also be great.

What should I expect to pay for just the housings? If I'm lucky.

Thanks budpytko,I wouldn't want to blind the other drivers.Just not cool.

Thanks driller.Didn't expect them to go for that much but I will take your word for it.This late '95-'96 model year only thing sure makes it tuff for the early model owners.

I know this has been said before but it sure would be nice if an aftermarket company would step in and help a little.

OK I'm a newbie and I have searched the HID problem to the point of being confused. I have a 96 Mark Viii LSC, black on black with stock HIDs, [and yes, she has a sunroof too] as the low beam. Someday these bulbs will blow and I want to preempt the moment by replacing with new HIDs. Can someone direct me to a "how to" or a parts list for a new kit? Also I see folks refering to a 9005 bulb. I thought 9005 was halogen?
Many thanks

9005 refers to the bulb base. They make both halogen and hid 9005 bulbs. The 9006 based bulbs fit the hole in the Mark VIII headlight housing better than the 9005.

Just buy a 9006 hid kit in 5,000 Kelvin, then take ur housings off of the car, then find a simple way to anchor the new bulbs to the housings.
