I need a place to sleep....

So you already have someone driving all the cars?

I was going to drive the CE, Amanda was going to drive the grey car...

Eric had mentioned join us at one point (I'm sure Amanda would be psyched not to drive, she hates driving in NY... well, and NJ, CT, and RI too... lol ) but Eric should drive his 95 :p

Anyway, we've got plenty of seats... and cars to accommodate plenty of people...

So I'm near Chicago. It is I think around 700 miles, and I make it usually a 2 day trip there and a 1 full day trip home. We have either 2 or 4 people and 2 or 3 cars. I (as you know) haven't been up for doing the driving myself. Hubby can do the drive there in 1 day, I stop about 1/2 way (although I'll want to visit some people in Pittsburgh, or can drive home alone). I'm always an option, but we seriously don't have plans ironed out yet, plus I don't know what we're doing with the dog.

bring the dog... :D

and bring Mark too... :p

Hmmm sounds like this could be fun. I'll just need to give my 95 some attention. I need to put in an oil pan and do some front end work after the winter. Could use paint too, it's a mess haha. It's going to need tires too. Winters are getting very worn. Maybe I can pick up some cheap tires for my 17x9s... Jesse, regardless of how we get to Carlisle I can pick you upnfrom the airport. As long as it's cool with the wife I have a spare room you can stay in as well. My place is small right now but it works, who knows maybe I'll be in a bigger place by then ;)

I'll be on a flexible schedule, driving from Minnesota, and quite likely alone. Once I get to PA, I would trust any one of you to drive my Mark, assuming I could then tag along with someone else, or drive a portion of the Sax-a-fleet.

I'd be willing to do airport/beer runs too, of course.

Ok...resurrecting this post on behalf of Barry, his wife, and I. We are seriously contemplating coming to Carslile this year. We would like suggestions, options, etc...

So...we need a place to sleep, lol.

We need Mark 8's to drive to the show.

We would like to visit a few people, see the sights, etc. and have fun.

It's Barry and his wife's 25th anniversary and I'll be tagging along for the flight, Carslile and then head back home depending on what/where they decide to do after. They are planning on staying a week so we will see about me being the third wheel. :D

Some of my thoughts were: Eric, you live close to Boston and said I could stay. Joe, you live close to Boston and have multiple Mark's that would need to be driven to the show. Boston is a central place to you guys and also a sight to see.

I looked at flying into Harrisburg (near Carslile) and it's $136 for one way (if we fly back from a different town).

Mike...maybe we can do that ride-a-long? I know it's the Bronx but I'd probably learn something....wish I could carry though. :(

Sharon...don't you live near Carslile or something?? I remember something about tents....
yea sure but its brooklyn, not the bronx and if you can't ride in with Joe, I got a spare bedroom. maybe Joe can the other Joe can come here

Joe, that sounds good, you know I like driving. :)

Sharon, you keep mentioning the dog. Does is hump or bite everyone, is that why you're unsure? Lol!

Eric.....I've seen your spare room. Lmao! You got some work to do, not sure how much it is to put your car in the show but would the amount of work needed outweigh that amount?

Jesse, dog is 13 1/2, that's why I get unsure, all depends how she's doing and what she can handle. She's a sweetheart, no biting, although she will jump on people (much less often now she's so old).

Yea, well that room DID look good until the ice damn caused our back room to start dripping with water.....ugh So much stuff so little room!

I think its like $40 or something to enter. I'm not sure if I would bring it....I want to but I also remembered that the ac doesn't work, it has a leak somewhere. I haven't fixed it because I've only been using it in the winter the past few years. Last time I went to Carlisle it was so damn hot I sure as hell wouldn't want to be without AC, so that would be on the must fix list.

I mean I'm planning on doing the oil pan and front end anyway. The only real extra thing would be putting a set of summer tires on my 17x9's and getting the AC going. It needs a paint job regardless. I have been considering buying a spray gun and just doing a garage spray job..... I'll see how much time I have this spring.

I remember when Dave painted (Sleeper) his....I believe he used a brush...flat black! Then he brought it to Carlisle....

Th last time you went to Carlisle we were probably all staying at that hotel 3 towns away, where you had to take toll roads to get to the show field... :p

Our hotel now is literally right down the street... :D

Yea it was all we could find......

Actually I was thinking about the Radisson, but yeah, I remember the hotel you and Dom stayed at... it was nice that there was a hose available though... :D

I tried so hard to get them to figure out how to get us a hose one year at Carlisle... I believe we even had a covert mission down all the service hallways looking for a way to wash cars at the hotel... :D

I'm definitely going this year and hope to drive the 98 down. Joe, hopefully we can meet up and all drive down together to NY or whatever and continue from there. I'm down for anything! Still not sure if the GF plans to go or not. Just put close to a grand into the 98 and it seems to be doing great.

Flying into Providence is not a bad way to go either J, because it's just as close and it's easier to get to in my opinion. (less traffic) I dont have a spare bedroom at my house but one of my partners from work has 2 and he would absolutely let a brother stay in one of them.
