I'm not sure

So, this is almost positively two different things. Sometimes, as soon as I start the car, usually after it has already been driven and is warm, there is a rough idle until I give it a little rev up and then it comes back. Anyone know why? Also, it feels like when I give the car some gas at about 30, it struggles in third gear, not wanting to drop down in second. Is this the 2-3 accumulator? It will shift to 2nd if I give it a nice mash on the throttle, but it just doesn't feel right. If someone could shed some light on my, hopefully, little problems that would be great.

Not sure about the rough idle, but your shifting problem is probably accumulator related.

RE: I'm not sure

Are you sure it's the 3-2 shift and not the 4-3 shift? Switch the OD button to lock out 4th and see what the symptoms are.

RE: I'm not sure

Yea, this is with the O/D off. It is surely in 3rd gear, and a slight acceleration will just kind of bog on the engine at about 30 mph. It kinda of jolts during acceleration, like if you shift into a low gear in a manual and give the car more gas. It doesn't wanna go. It just wont down shift into 2nd until I give it a good hit on the throttle. But this is sparatic. About 1/3 of the time it seems to shift regular. It must be the accumulator right? I haven;;t changed them yet. It's too cold right now and I have to SAVE for Mercon V. College really takes the money away.

RE: I'm not sure

I do not believe the 2-3 accumulator is part of the 3-2 downshift? I could be wrong.

RE: I'm not sure

When its bogging, is the torque converter locked up, mine does the same thing sometimes when its locked-up around that speed.
