Labor Day Weekend

Rene

Lincoln Lady
Is anybody going to any cool car shows this weekend? Brad and I will be going to the Auburn Kruse (Fall) car auction as always. Last year was over 6,000 cars for sale and over 100 acres of swap meet. It's the mother of all car shows for us (Indiana, Fort Wayne area).

Sadly no :(.

But I will be removing an EBCM module from my corvette. And I will also replace an intake manifold on a 98 Crown Victoria.

This was my favorite car of the day. The owner said he was at Carlisle, but I missed this car somehow . . . what a beautiful machine!

LOVED this one - outrageous!! The engine was as big as the car! It's a Lloyd Alexander stationwagon.

Nice show. Beautiful photos.

I love those old Lincolns.

Is that a Premier 2 cars down from the Mark II? Did you get any shots of that one?

I think I took a photo of that Mark II at the Downriver Cruise. It was beautiful. I wonder if it's the same car?

Check it out:

i saw that mustang ranger in person a few years ago at slamfest in tampa, it was built nicely, but god is it butt ugly. what a waste of time. if it isnt the same one, there is two, but it was the same color and everything, some people have bad taste in what they consider cool!

Not sure if it's the same car, Bill . . . no license plate on the one at Auburn. That sure does look like a Premier just down the row, but I didn't get any pictures of it. There were more Lincolns this year than any previous year. There was a Lincoln pickup there a couple of years ago that I took a picture of; it was made in Canada, if I remember right. It was pretty cool!

Great pics... I saw the first few with the Mustranger and that tiny car with the huge engine and thought... oh god... there is no hope... but the other great cars and trucks listed below them redeemed this thread :D

I just had to show that car with the huge engine, because it was so outrageous . . . I have a nice rear photo I can post if you like :err-what?:

There were lots of other cool pics, too: Dueseys, Cords, more Lincolns, and some historic race cars (including a couple Holman-Moody cars).

Duesenbergs and Cords? Could you please post some of those?:) Any Auburns?

Any chance that you've got a shot of a Cord 810 or 812 convertible? I love those cars.

I've got to make it to that museum soon. I've been wanting to go for years now.

How long did it take you to drive to Detroit from there?

I will post some more pics. As many times as Brad and I have been to the auctions there, we've never been to the museum either! We've decided we'll do the museum this winter.

It took us about 3 hours to drive to Jeremi's house from here (2:50).
