The Cord!

What a great photo! What a beautiful car!

That's it, I'm going to the museum soon:)

Thanks Rene,

You should come to the auction next year! It's always on Labor Day weekend, Thursday - Monday, and has 6,000 or more cars every year

I love auctions. Expecially with those cars. I've never seen one live though.

Next year sounds good. I'm thinking of taking a fall color tour to the museum this autumn too.

I can't believe they auctioned off a Cord. I wonder how much they got for it?

People are free to wander in and out of the auctions throughout the day at Auburn. Some cars are listed with a reserve, and some not. On Friday, automobilia and jewelry is auctioned. There is also a huge car corral behind the auction building with hundreds of cars to buy directly from their owners. The swap meet is over 100 acres. I've been going since 1988, and never miss it

They have a Spring auction that is gaining in attendance, but it was on the same weekend as our Indy meet this year, so we didn't go.

You can go to their website for past auction results of cars sold. Go to www.kruse.com/results, and look under Auburn (Labor Day weekend).

That's a great website. I had to remove the "/results" part of the address to get there, then select Auction Results though.

I'll be spending some time there, checking out all the beautiful cars and prices.:)
