There you go guys. I had a hell of a time getting the new pics for ya, but it's cool. I have to go pick up the engine block from the machine shop soon, so Ill have the short block done with in the next few weeks.

After that I have to finish porting the heads, and then have them sent off to be cut for larger valves. Other than that....new Carpet, and seat leathers is about all I have to do, that and obvious stuff you see in the pics.

RE: MarkVIII Manual Tranny Conversion.

what blower are you going to be using. oh ya nice car and conversion.

RE: MarkVIII Manual Tranny Conversion.

I'm not sure what S/C I'll be using. Im leaning more torwards a Vortech, but I have always liked the looks of a positive displacment S/C bolted to the top of the engine.

Once I got all of the parts, and everything, It took me almost 2 weeks (after work) to get it running. This will also bring this thread back to the top for people who asked where it was.

Also, I am going with a Kenne-Bell SC, Getting a 17 PSI pully to start out on, and see what happens. Now I just have to find a dyno shop. :)

Edit...I noticed my fudged up post prior to this, mentioning the vortech....that was wrong.

RE: MarkVIII Manual Tranny Conversion.

you should race my buddy who is putting a 03 cobra motor in his mark 7 with a 5 spd. that would just be a cool race. i am still toying with the idea of a 5.4 na with a stick or 4.6 turbo with a auto, but this would only be once i am finally done with the new headers.

RE: MarkVIII Manual Tranny Conversion.

I would be up for a race any time once it's done. right now, i think this is getting put on the back burner. The house needs a new roof, and the boiler is acting up. SOOOOOOO, money needs to go else where.
