I Need A Bank 1 ( Right Bank) Imrc Control Valve For 1996 Mark VIII . Does Anybody Have One Or Know Where To Get One Or Is There Something Else I Can Do With It ??? Thanks

I thought the 96 IMRCs were electrically operated, not vacuum like the previous years. I only say this because I've seen an electric IMRC setup on a 96 LSC.

The Guy That Checked It Out Said That The Valve Was Electric Over Vacuum And That It Was A One Year Only Setup . He Also Said That You Can't Get Them From Ford Antmore ...

Hmmm...

Check behind the driver's side head, a little towards the center of the motor. If it's electric, you should feel a square box there, with 2 coming out of it, one wire each going to the back of the heads.

Send me a PM with your email, and I'll look to see if I have a pic of what the IMRC activation box looks like to send you so you can get an idea what you're looking for. I'd attach a pic, but apparently some people 'round here are afraid of hosting attachments. :p

96 just has a electrical plug and a vacuum hose, 97 and 98 have a box with two cables. 96 are all alone and good luck finding one, someone on another forum got one last year from ford for over 230 bucks for one, very hard to come by now.

All 96 were vacuum controlled and you can use ones from 93 to 95 also. The wires on the 96 are part of the ODB II system for detecting stuck IMRCs, thats all. If you do go with an earlier year you will get a CE light.
