I shuffled off to Buffalo to pick up the newest addition to the fleet...a true Diamond Anniversary Edition Mark VIII!!!
It was on the auction site, and I was the high bidder. Flew out on Friday, completed the transaction, and drove it home! It rides like a dream. The seller took remarkable care of it for the two years he owned it, including storing it in a heated garage during the Buffalo winters.
The car has lived the majority of its life in the South, so there is no rust or corrosion anywhere. It's one of the two Mark VIII models that I've "lusted" after, and when it showed up on the auction site at what I considered to be a reasonable price, I jumped at the chance to acquire it.
It's got a few blemishes, but they are fixable. Here are a few of the photos the seller provided. I'll add a few more when I get it cleaned up and presentable from the trip home.
