Nitrous Refills?

Where can I get a nitrous bottle filled? Just take it down to the local medical clinic and ask for a fill up?

RE: Nitrous Refills?

I think alot of that will be answered in your local yellow pages under industrial gas suppliers. The stuff for engines is usually perfumedup with sulfur to differetiate it from clinical or diary application. Some speed shops also may do refills.

RE: Nitrous Refills?

yes most speed shops will fill your bottle but call a few shops and ask if they have the medical grade stuff because it doesnot have the sulfer in it and it is a lot better for your motor for the price of about 5-10$ more for a fill

Some of the people i knew, the sulfer wouldn't stop them.

But they weren't all that bright to begin with.

Well I think legally you need a perscription for the medical grade... not sure, I'll check with the industrial gas supply first though I doubt they want to sell such small quantities. The only place I found in Des Moines so far is "Dale's Tire" on Euclid in case anyone else is looking. About $3/lb

RE: Nitrous Refills?

hmm.. I guess I should've asked you guys first but I got a wet nitrous system and evidently that's not a very good idea with a stock intake? Anyone know where I can get a different intake to prevent explosion?

I'm only going to be running 75 from a zex wet system. I'm spraying above the throttle body.

From the ZEX system description: "The patent pending Fuel Shear technology used in the ZEX™ nitrous nozzle, places the enrichment fuel directly inside the highspeed nitrous oxide plume exiting the nozzle. This results in the most complete atomization of enrichment fuel possible. Super-fine atomization of enrichment fuel ensures maximum horsepower and eliminates fuel puddling that can cause intake backfires."

RE: Nitrous Refills?

Might be a problem, might not be.

wet kits on mod motors have been known to blow up intakes though

RE: Nitrous Refills?

I saw a guy shoot 200 wet though his mark VIII intake with my own eyes one time. IT lasted for a solid year and never had a problem.

NONTHELESS I do not reccomend it at all. THat guy was jsut plain lucky.
