Non-return style fuel system

KB = Kenne Bell.

Kirban is junk. I wouldn't touch it with a 10 ft pole. The unit in the 2nd picture leaked out after 2 dyno pulls.

Well they have the part, but it would have to be drilled for a return line. Should work, just have to drill and tap it. Then I will need to figure out the fitting and return line size. Might need some help with that but its been done so I will search the Mustang forums first.

Hmmm, not sure if it will work after all. The Mark has a two port regulator, right? So fuel enters one port and leaves the other with the regulator acting as a valve between the two. Right? If so this adapter would have to be machined a bit more than I care to as it may have only one port. The main purpose of the design was to add a Schrader valve. Since there is normally just a sensor in place, it only has one port for fuel.

Crap. The pic of the one you posted Mad1stGen may no longer be available then.

I can not find that adapter ANYWHERE. Dang! LOL

That would save a lot of people headaches on the Modular forum also.

I bet you're looking for the wrong adapter.

You need a KB adapter that came with the 96-98 Mustang GT kits.
It was available 4 months ago, of course directly from KB. No other places sell it.

Another option is to have a fitting welded onto the rails, use aftermarket fuel regulator connected with AN lines to the fitting, and then return lines.

I thought of a remote FPR. It would be EASY to cut off the mount plate and install a fitting. I would probably not even have to weld, I could tap it. There is a decent chunk of metal under that rail mount plate. Either way I want an adjustable regulator anyway, I dont think the stock FPR is keeping up with the flow of the Walbro 255.

I will pass the info to TJ @ KB about the kit it comes with.

Thanks for your help, appreciate it.

Well, its a no-go I guess. In some way I am glad that I will be forced to take it in for some welding work on the rails. I will cut the tabs off the non-return and have them put on the return lines. I feel that the return lines look like they can handle more.

This was the response from TJ:

Ok, thats probably why I'm not able to find exactly what you're looking for. The '96-'98 GT kits have been discontinued for a few years now and we don't have parts for them any longer. There were problems with the intake port designs that cause manifold break down and the return fuel system caused problems at high boost/power levels. Your best bet is to fabricate something for your application.

That's pretty sad. I find it hard to believe they don't have any parts left. But I guess it's a done deal either way.

Remember that the injectors are installed at an angle on the 99+ intakes, so your fab works has to follow the same idea in order for a good deal to injectors ports on the intake, and then at the rail.

Get some of the -3 push lock hose to replace the stock bridge lines as they are the wrong lenght/shape.

Nice welds ;)

I have Cobra return lines now and the bridge lines fit perfectly behind the 99+ intake. In fact, I may just use the ones I have and do all the work at the shop. Save $ and time.
