I changed the radiator in the ol beast and filled it from the bottle till it ran out the tube on the engine and was wondering i maybe I filled it to much? I couldn't find an over flow but surely it has one.

Yes, it's the big plastic container near the battery.

The optimal procedure for filling up with coolant is to fill the crossover tube with the overflow tank cap removed. Then when the fluid in the tank is at the line, replace the cap and fill the crossover to the top.

Also turn on the heater to max and make sure the engine runs until heat is felt while filling at the crossover tube.

Then leave it set until cool(I leave it overnight), and top off the coolant reservoir to the cold fill line.

Why the new radiator?

RE: over filling coolant

The ol rad developed a leak when i hit that deer last year and I wouldn't let the body shop put it in ( I don't trust any one to work on anything that has to do with the drivetrain on any of my vehicles) and since I'm going to FLA next month I thought I'd go ahead and put it in just incase it developed a bigger leak.

best way to fill the radiator is to fill it at the crossover tube, then start the car with the cap off. when the thermostat opens, top it off again. let the heater run, keep it topped off for a few more minutes, then cap it off and you should be good to go.
