Preparing the car for Carlisle?

Buffed out the Mark this past weekend and put two coats of mothers wax on. Never realized how much rust it really has. :(

Got stood up by my mechanic this weekend so I will probably be attending with a check engine light due to stuck IMRC's. Sol good I suppose.

No problem. Just bring a couple cans of seafoam, and we'll give it the treatment over by the mustangs.

:D

Time off request: Submitted and approved.

Me: Sorry this is later than anticipated.
Supervisor: What? are you leaving tomorrow or something?
Me: Yup.
Supervisor: *sigh..* [signs name]

I am hopping I can make out Saturday it in the Mark. My AC is not blowing as cold as it should. I had a hose that was leaking like 5 or 6 years ago, I hope it is not leaking again because that hose was expensive. While it is there I will have them put in my belt tensioner, belt, and pulley in. I know it is easy to do, done it twice already, but I have to drop the car off after work and my not get it back to Friday night. Also will have them check out the rear suspension and my bump steer issue while they have it and can get it on a lift.
Then I will just drive through a car wash to get it clean :D

Car is all detailed. Several rounds with Mark's Porter cable and some Adam's Polishes. shampoed the carpet. Fully detailed the interior. Even brushed all the crevices. This will probably be the first year I do not have to spend much time detailing AT Carlisle. Man does it feel good.

Lol Mike!!! :D

The Town Car is serviced, primped and good to go.

I still have a couple details to attend to on the '96. It hasn't had hardly any road time this spring, so I hope it's up to the task! That and I find the inspection has been expired, oh boy... and just for giggles, the registration expires tomorrow.

The Goodyear garage didn't have any stickers yesterday, and I was tied up at work all day today. Hopefully, I can find time tomorrow and they can fit me in after I visit the local DOT office. If not, I guess I'll be an outlaw on the run. :D

Then it's just packing all the LOD gear!

Here is the deal on the door trim panels. This car was in the Boca/Ft Lauderdale area all its life until I bought her six weeks ago and brought her up to Ohio. As most of you know these cars bought new in south Fl were driven by mostly the over 50 sect. That being said, the door panel in that area had several scratches...I mean many...I'd say Poodle size dancing along the window sill. It was driving me carzy looking at it, so I went on Ebay and found this wood grain trim kit, the only one I have ever seen with the Lincoln Star accent. It warps the rear seat with the same accent too. It matches the factory wood grain on the console perfectly. Here are more pic's:)

Have you tried wiggling the lever by hand? I know the pass side is the easier one to get to. I used to get a cel every winter when i stored mine due to a stuck imrc(pass side only).Free'd it up by hand and its been fine since. Worth a shot if you haven't tried it yet.

Ive got alot of detailing done today, We are leaving tomorrow afternoon and I still have so much to do!!! I better get busy.

I'll be packing the vehicles tonight to cut down on prep time tomorrow afternoon/evening.

AC fixed, pulley, belt and belt tensioner replaced so no more squeaking. I need to clean the K&N conical, it is filthy. They say could find nothing wrong regarding the bump steer but I know something is wrong.
Also i have to figure out how to install a baby seat in the back
