HOw many people have the qx4 exhaust? i've seen soe videos for iand really like the sound my question is, is it worth it? bout how much did it go for and if its a good price does anyone know where a shop is located?

I LOVE the sound but there ugly as sin. Look way to guady.

I beleive lincolnmotorsports.com sells the kit for around $350 iirc.

really? i acctually like the look of them, but i respect your opinion, did you get the kit or have it installed?

Geno at LMS has them. The 2 mufflers and a double x pipe is $350 shipped. I am waiting to get the $$ for a set. He also has different tips available or no tip so you can choose any other one you like.

I see your in NJ so is lincolnmotorsports he will install em for you.

yah iv allready been geting estmets in dallas. If i get the X pipe and muflers/tips the shop will charge $400 from headers PLUS 2 new cats to hook it all up ( $750 totle )and if i get cobra headers ($350) add another $350 to install, so headers, xpipe, muflers, cats, tubing and labore $1450. to go from Y-pile to DUIL pipe like the LMS setup

i wish someone would make a driveway install kit Exhuast system for the mark like they have for the stang

yeah that would be nice youd save alot of time and money. i dont understand why lms only sells the double x and the mufflers they should make a whole bolt on kit be alot easier.

Someone use to make a full kit but from what I have read it did not sell well and many people went with just the mufflers anyway.

with the lsc i could understand just going with the mufflers or delelte which is what i did, but with the standerd i would want a true dual and would appretiate a kit for it even with the stock exhaust i have without mufflers i still want to get a full exhaust put on eventually

The reason no one sells a complete "true dual" kit for the NON-LSC cars is because the passenger side catalytic converter is part of the removable exhaust, where as on the driver side the cat is part of the manifold. So...in essence, installing a "bolt on" kit would mean only replacing one of your cats. The LSC's are different, but still have the same basic setup.

I bought a complete true-dual conversion for my 94 from Dan Rotalante in Miami. X-pipe and 3rd cat elimination... it's been great and was a real bargain (around $200-300 I don't remember)

Why would Ford make the headers one with a cat attached. Sounds like ford didn’t want you doing easy mods and competing with the mustang

thats exactly the reason why more than likely, allot of fords cars had a lot of potential as prototypes but where de-tuned so the mustang would stay on top like the SHO taurus and the probe gt believe it or not.

Ford made a LOT of cars with a cat on one header...I remember the 87 T-Bird was that way.

Also the V-6 mustangs had the driver's side cat attached.

I'm sure they didn't manufactor the cat on the d-side manifold to prevent people from fixing up the marks. Its probably something to do with the installation/manufactoring process of the cars. You can de-tune a car without making stupid things like that, take the 03/04 Cobra for example.

are you saying the 03/04 cobra's were undertuned? you may know more on them then i do but those cars were factory rated much lower then the power they were making. a good running terminator stock can make 370 to the wheels easy and judging the 15% loss from friction and what not that would put the engine power around 420 give or take
