Got a recall notice today on the Z.... seat brackets are breaking. Lincoln will repair.

Interesting. I wonder what the nature of the failure is.. (motors? stress fractures?) and how many other cars they put those things into..

I have an appt for the "repair" on Oct 29th....I will ask but usually the service writes don't know much.....it is a two hour repair they say.

It is a two hour repair they say..... I tried to do an "EDIT" to my original post.... it won't save . Still another prob with the site "rules" ?

It DID take the 2 hours...they will apply a protective coating to the seat belt cable pre-tentioner.

So, was this a recall on the seat bracket or the seatbelt pre-tensioner?

It was the pre-tensioner.
