Replacing broken secondary chain on 94 lincoln mark VIII

Keep the "golf tee" the seal can be used on the dipstick tube if that starts to leak (common).

That looks pretty normal when changing the old transmission fluid.

Just clean the pan and magnet well and reinstall with a new filter.

Does anyone have a diagram of which bolts go where for the intake manifold?attached is the picture of the bolts I have but to be honest I did not keep track of which go where. thanks in advance.

Hey guys, making progress on the 94 Mark... In the process however; the IAC Valve black cap somehow popped off (rolling my eyes). Replacing this piece is a pain in the *** and wondering if anyone out there has any work around info as to avoid removing the intake manifold again. Thanks in advance

I think the black cap is just a vent shield? Not sure it merits replacing the IACV...

Remove the passenger side wiper cowl along with the throttle body for easier access to replace the IACV.

Be sure to cover the intake opening when you remove the throttle body to prevent anything from falling into the intake manifold during the work!

Hello again.. hey, what oil you guys roll with on ur Marks. My manual mentions 5/20, but you guys recommend synthetic or conventional?

I use Royal Purple Synthetic 5W-20 in my modified '93 and '96 cars while currently using Mobil 1 Synthetic 5W-20 in my otherwise stock '93 with the Kenne Bell supercharger.

Years ago I pretty much used a synthetic blend - Castrol SynBlend 5W-20 in the stock engines with simple bolt-ons.

I have to add I have been a big fan of MT-10 oil additive... Muscle Products Metal Treatment MT-10®

Having read an article posted over on the 928 forum on Rennlist, about how Ford only went down to the 20 weight to get a tiny bit better mileage number, I've been using 5w30 now for almost 15 years in the Mk8 and Expedition, with no adverse effects. Neither seem to burn any oil, either, just thr routine oil change every 5000 miles. I've been using Mobil 1 full synthetic in everything (other than the motorcycles) since 1976 when they first made it available in NJ.

I'm going with Valvoline 5/20 full synthetic and a bottle of maple. Soo, exciting update gentlemen and maybe Mark VIII ladies out there. Almost all back together, sharing some pictures. However, brain picking I must prior to jumping in and turning that key in had to pay $250 to get made. Don't loose your keys folks. Anyone have pictures, diagrams to remind me how the PCV, vacuum lines are arranged please. Also, can we confirm with the red and gray cables are attached to the same post on the engine bay fuse box? Thanks in advance, hope ya enjoy pics.
Terrible night picture but shall send better one later
