Should I put SL or XL rated tires on my '79 Mark V

I am about to replace the tires on my '79 Mark V Bill Blass, but an not sure if I should put SL (Standard Load) or XL (Extra Load) tires on my car due to its heavy weight. Any thoughts as to which tire I should go with?
 
I would assume each tire make/model would be different. Find the Gross Vehicle weight/4 and check that with the max load balance rated for the tire you are looking for.

Anyone else got some other ideas?
