3-4 shift concerns usually are caused by the forward clutch going bad or a failing OD band. This chiefly happens because during the 3-4 shift, the OD clutch has to apply while the forward clutch is releasing. If the forward clutch releases early it will feel like it shifts to neutral for a short time during the shift. If the OD band applies before the forward clutch releases it will feel like it bogs down during the shift. This is one primary reason it is highly advised not to do WOT 3-4 shifts.

It is almost impossible to diagnose over the internet, but the first thing would be to verify proper fluid level in the transmission. The next step would be to replace the fluid with fresh Mercon V.

I had my rear end rebuilt with 3.73 gears tracloc and the shop had me order a computer module to reset the shift points. But if the problem is slipping or something that is a tranny problem.
