Stupid Gear question (help appreciated)

I've done some research and seen that the speedometer on the 1998 Mark Viii is read from the front wheel. If I got from the factory rear gear to the LSC 3.27, do I need to get a tune/chip for it to shift correctly?

I don't want to go any bigger than 3.27 and trying to save money so I don't want to buy a tuner just yet.

Thanks guys,

Rob

Speedometer IS read from the front wheel.... as it is not replaced when you replaced the rear end, you do NOT have to do anything to keep the speedometer in the dash correct.

When I went to 4.10's I had to re-tune as it smacked the rev limiter on shifts. Did some funny things. With 3.27's or 3.55's you'd probably be okay though.
