I did a JMOD on my 96 over Memorial Day weekend. Today, I intended to install a trans cooler. I took off the cowling under the hood, and to my surprise, I found this:
It's sandwiched between the radiator and the AC condenser. I can't believe it's done much cooling sitting there.
I am going to remove it and put the new one in front of the condenser.
My question is, did it actually heat the transmission fluid instead? Is it enough of an obstruction that it's impacting the radiator's ability to cool the engine?
