When i first got the 1997 Lincoln Mark 8 I was unaware that the windshield wipers are supposed to retract. Of course i researched this after i saw a few on the road and had the feeling that my car didn't look right with the wipers just over the hood. Whats wrong with them? The windshield wiper control lever has to be in the "High" position for the blades to come on. They only swipe in that position. The wipers will come on when the windshield wiper washer button is pressed. All other position won't work except the "High" position which i mentioned already. Any suggestions?
