White Lightning - Rebirth

I just got back from Jeremi's. I helped him bleed the brakes on the donor car. It was just meatloaf help, pushing the brake pedal. :D

That's a real nice car.

Then we installed my new front airsprings on my black Mark. It was a breeze with that lift!:)

It only took us an hour, working at a very easy pace.

It's so nice not messing with jackstands, and just raising and lowering the car for each part of the job.

Thanks again for the help and use of the lift Jeremi, the car rides like a new car now.

No real plans, I'll probably keep it around for a little while. Let me know if you want to check it out.

If you're looking to sell it, how much? How much rust?

If I could get out of my gen 1 and into something like that for not too much extra $$$ i'd consider it. It probably would have been closer to my price range as a shell, though. Needs to be a deal on something rough enough to beat on.

Is it on some type of roller cart?

We're using a base cart from a rotisserie.

No problem Bill, glad to hear it was worth it ;)

I don't remember what you paid for your 93, but I doubt this is what you're looking for.

I don't think it's what you're looking for either, it has a low mileage California engine in it. Have you ever seen a California engine in Michigan? It's beautiful.:)

The whole car is too nice for you Dave.:D

Unless of course, you're looking for a nice car this time.

Probably would have been closer when it was a shell. I could probably get 1500 out of mine. I'll be looking for a nice one eventually, after my navigator is paid off. But when I buy a nice one, I'm looking for clear headlights, original engine/trans, clear headlights, and matching paint. Probably black. Too bad I sold it...

Lol, you can just see where his wife came in and yelled at him to take out the trash. You should make sure you find one with clear headlights! :D

hey just a quick note to introduce myself... My name is Keith and trust me not as goofy as the picture my lead you to believe...lol! This car is one I bought from J that was totaled...a bit of tlc and back on the road she is...I love it!

tap tap tap goes my finger as I eagerly await the next update.
I wonder if Todd is even bothering to watch this thread as the car is having done to it what he ultimately wanted to do, but just ran out of drive for a major over-haul.

Thanks for keeping us updated Jeremi.

Bill, sorry it took me so long to go back and read the page where you asked if I knew of any cars from California that are that clean.

I do not.
But if I ever do see/read about/find out about one, I'll let you know.

My 97 LSC was the cleanest Mark VIII I have ever worked under when i sold it.
I swore the car never saw even rain, but I know it did...many many times.
The only rust on that car was behind the steering wheel when I had it. I've done some work to it for the new owner, and it isn't near as nice as it was the day he picked it up.
I think it had 84k on it when I sold it...I sent Jeremi probably 20-30 pictures of the car as he was interested in buying it back then, but I ended up selling it locally, as we both agreed I could get more here than he was willing to pay. he negotiated fairly, and i respect the hell out him for that. never tried to low-ball me. Just told me what his customer's budget was.

sorta miss than car. It had Octastars, but the new owner wanted the chrome 10 spokes that were on my 94 instead, so I swapped them. Low and behold, Chad bought my 94 a couple months later, and got HIS Octastars back! lol

Damn it guys, stop posting pictures of nice ones! It's making me self-concious about my beater :p

I miss my '97 - one of these days, probably soon after my truck is paid off, I'll pick up a nice '98, maybe from someplace that doesn't experience rust, do gears / converter / cobra intake / headers / tune again, and daily drive it. Until then i'll be rocking my flat black, rusted out '93 with the totally shot interior.

Like I asked before, is this the Todd from elk grove that went to the races with me?

Well I didn't because I did work on his suburban for cheap because he was super broke so to think he had 30k into his mark....

You've got it swapped around Jesse.

The 30K parts are going into Todd's MarkVIII body.:)

jeremi what does a lift like that go for roughly that is awesome, although i have celing high enough to lift a transit bus off the ground i would love something like that that i can move out of the way.
