    Big Red's heart on reserve

Funny you should mention that. It's been a vague idea of mine for several years now.

    The Olde' Continental C-Head Swap.

What did you get to replace it?

I take it we're no longer running the modded MK8 intake?

    The Olde' Continental C-Head Swap.

Well, to be entirely honest with you, it's kind of a half-assed design. It looks like Ford was really onto something with that head arrangement...and then just said 'stop' when they hit a certain dollar...mark. (Pun intended). The bad part about this car is that I'm kind of getting to the...

...does the Aviator intake fit under the hood of a Gen I?

    The Olde' Continental C-Head Swap.

Hi. I'm kind of prepping another motor for my newer '96 LSC (the '94 is gone), and part of that is getting the heads redone. I've seen several older mentions of using a 2000 Continental C-head and IMRC-less plate in place of a B-head for a better all-around motor...and to be honest with you...

    Swapping motors.

Strangely enough, I found it easier to pull the engine from the top. That was, of course, after I dropped the crossmember to get all of the bolts out of the bottom of the engine. It's a ridiculous way to pull one, but I don't have to fight much of anything to get the engine out.

    Dyno time!

Elaborate! Which seats are these? I'm about to can the 800-pound stockers in my (new) car, and am looking for options.

    255/45 18's.

The idiot previous owner got rid of all of the air ride (at around 50K miles, the car only has 81K on it right now), so I got the car with the Arnott/whoever spring conversion installed. Since the air ride is gone, I am finally going to install my NOS Bilsteins on this car with either a set of...

    255/45 18's.

I wasn't going to do much more than a 1.5" or so drop with Vogtlands.

    255/45 18's.

255/45 18: When using appropriate-backspacing wheels, is there any one out there that's running a similar tire size? I know that the 245 is the accepted gospel, but I'm currently running 235/60 16's on my latest Mark 8, and I like the 27" tall tire height in how it fills up the wheelwell from an...

    Lightning Alternator

Update: Nothing to report, apparently, the Lightning alternator is still...uh...alternating.

    Sooo...can I pull...

...pull the engine out from the top? (1994 Mk8). Not real crazy about doing the whole 'out the bottom thing', not with the garage I've got...

    98 LSC Mild Street car

That's the main reason why I moved away from my mother-in-law. She's really corrosive, nothing's safe around her, especially bare metal.

No, I entirely agree with him. The problem, however, is that I'm thinking that it would have been better to start from scratch...I get itchy looking at header redos like this one.

    98 LSC Mild Street car

...to be entirely honest, with as many welds that have to be added in order to make these fit...and this is no slight against Jeremi, but welds are potential fail points...I can't help but wonder if the Kooks units wouldn't be better after all.

These are the Pacesetter headers, correct? 70-3229?

    Mark VIII Coyote

To be honest with you guys...with what that engine costs (coyote swap ain't cheap)...and with the grief you're going to have installing it anyway...if I was going to spend that much, I'd just do a Chevy 6.2 LS, at least that particular bullet takes up maybe half the space. That, or the 6.2...
