Ill plan on redoing it with the kit and maybe starting with a lower grit. The swirls are still in the side of the housing but a few of them came out. Did notice more of the diamond cracks but those dont bother me
If you only have 1 set to do, it's a good idea to get a kit. Many of you know I've done quite a few, and wouldn't be $$ wise to buy kitsJust use the SYLVANIA Headlight Restoration Kit, it cost less than $20 with amazon prime and comes with every thing you need sans some extra gloves, I showed my results above, it works great, just like the video shows. You need an activator to soften the plastic then the UV coating, bot are key for getting good results without all the effort.

I've had some real rough ones, and started with 180,340, and so on.Ill plan on redoing it with the kit and maybe starting with a lower grit. The swirls are still in the side of the housing but a few of them came out. Did notice more of the diamond cracks but those dont bother me
Where's "around here" ?Did mine a few months back and noticed the "diamonding" mentioned here. They look ok off but with tbe lights on you notice the haziness. Im looking to having them professionally done. Problem is no one around here wants to take the lense off and the glue that holds the lense on is beginning to delaminate.
First we're "cooking", and now a Sing Along. Does it get any better?I feel a "counting crows" song comin' on...
Looks like white moisture dots on the inside flat part. Their fixable
That's my problem. I have water spots on the inside but not enough testicular fortitude to remove the lens.Does fixable mean removing the lens and polishing the inside or is there another method?
