Had one but it rusted up way to quickly for how old it was. I got rid of it a couple years after I bought my mark and the fenders were toast along with the RL. Easy to find fenders or not, I won't be buying another. Drove good though.Nope. Not even close. The rust is very minimal.
You're missing out if that's the only thing keeping you from them. Fenders and body parts are a hell of a lot easier to find on these cars than a Mark8. My Mark8s would be rotted if I drove them in the winter here. I'd rather rot the fenders on a car that has a billion parts still available.

Nice good finding a good winter beater Kirk! Good luck with it.Driving home the winter beater. 2002 Grand Marquis. The only issues are a clunk when I clock the wheel about a half turn and it seems to be coming from the driver's side wheel. Not sure what it is yet. Also a VEEEEEEERY slight misfire under load in overdrive if a manipulate the throttle a certain way. Otherwise it rides smooth as butter and the transmission shifts perfectly. It has the PI 4.6 so no valve stem worries like the older 4.6 SOHC cars and it has the good 4R70W in it. 174K on the clock. Just a baby.
