I don't think Margaret runs Nittos on her car......

Could be wrong I guess.

Back on topic, I like the cats J, I'm adding a set to the green car soon.

Not on the current one, but she might have to on the new one :eek-large:

I don't. There is no room for them with the auto trans so they sit a little lower than I'd like (probably about as low as stock exhaust would though). You should have no problems with the 3650.

BTW, the diagram came thru ok ?

Yes it did sir. Thanks.

I'm also done with these Kooks too.

I've got a set of terminator manifolds that are going on it.

Too much noise, and too raspy for me.

All trim has been painted as well. It makes the engine bay look so smooth, almost old school hot rod like.

Bumper still needs some blacking out, but it won't be installed for while to avoid possible damage :love-it:

Headlights have been cleared as well to match the fresh bumper and grill paint. Still need to touch up silver behind the seal.

Next up is the replacement engine teardown to make it worthy of that shiny engine bay ;)
are you blacking out the foglight holes?

can you tell me where you sourced your flow tubes from the header? thanks for the help
You can buy any x or H pipe kit for a 96-04 GT/Cobra for the stock manifolds, and it will come with what you need. Mind you, nothing will bolt up, you still have to cut and reweld a bunch of bends to get it to fit where it's ever remotely close to stock exhaust.

Anyway, since tig welding and powdercoating is taking few days, I tackled the cooling system upgrades. Since I had access to an excellent 03-04 Cobra all aluminum radiator locally, we decided to use that. These radaitors were available at great prices few years back, but are getting somewhat rare today. Well, the damn 03 cobra is already 10 years old :eek-large: To top it off, I will be re-using the almighty mark viii fan and shroud, instead of using the weaker Cobra/GT fan. Best OEM parts possible. ;)

Few mods required as usual. The lower mounting peds are spaced wider on the mustang, so some adjustment to the brackets was required. Shaved rubber bushings as well to get it to sit a little lower.

I also added some aluminum angle to facilitate shroud attachment. Finally, cut and rewelded upper brackets to mount the radiator securely in stock location.

The combo is ready to be reinstalled. The fan is removable separately if ever needed. The original mounting brackets have been retained so a cobra/gt fan can be installed in case of emergency.

Looks like it belongs. Thicker core, no pesky built in trans cooler, no plastic tanks. More better :tongue-pink:

The mid section got all welded up, so I was able to work some more on the rear portion of the exhaust.

I had some experience with the mandrel bent exhaust kits before, but this one takes the cake. It couldn't be off more. They should either stop making this crap, or actually test it on a car before selling it.

It doesn't follow the gas tank properly, nor clears the differential as it should.

Here it is after cutting, splicing in extra pipe, and removing extra elsewhere.

Lazer Rootbeer powdercoated mufflers and tips in place. I will need to figure out some special hangers as the stock ones won't work well with the round mufflers.

IMG_00001627.jpg IMG_00001631.jpg

The u-bolt clamp will be coated to match, but saves me from having to redo the coating after welding the tip onto the mufflers. I might actually utilize that clamp as a hanger, all in one.

One done, one more to go :love-it:
