Some more pics of the Vacuum pump

Its mounted in the battery location. I hid as many wires as possible for this install. None are over the engine at all. I don't like this particualr unit as it vibrates like crazy worse than the stock airride pump. You can really feel it inside the car. When i get around to it, i may have a thick 1/8" steel plate to go under it to stiffen it up to the floor of the battery tray.
It came with four rubber standoffs, and is mounted securely, but is transfering tons of vibrations to the interior of car. Its not touching anything but the four bolted mounting pegs it came with to the battery tray.
The engine harness is all wrapped up now that i know everything works and checked out. Car is done except for the mounting of the boost gauge and the MAF and tune. Heres some pics of the engine.

Looks great, Jeff :) You know, I might just have available, the 05 GT MAF, and the MAF tube from my old set up if Aric has not done something with it already. Let me know. :)

Thank you Mike

Thank you Mike

I believe Lonnie already has in hand my custom ordered tube and MAF housing. I told him to wait till i drop off the car to him. I'm flyin out to Texas for the second interview mid month of Sept.,so I'm hoping i can squeeze into the race still in November when I'm hired.

Is that MAF tube your new one after the changes were made in that pic?
Engine compartment looks alot cleaner (im eying that power steering bracket) haha tie that down when i come to the show. ;) Mike i still got your black funnel from 06 Atlanta in the trunk. haha I'll bring it or hang onto it for good luck as my car ran good last time it was out in 2006. I was messin with my amp, and saw it tucked into the corner. lols.

Any time, Jeff. :) That is my old tube from the stock motor and intake. Here is picture of the new tube on the stroker motor with the Cobra intake. lol I remember that funnel. I think you need to keep it. Don't mess with the Karma. You can still use it for the moonshine party in the parking lot lol :) Good luck with the interview!

eh, just curious. What hp will the stock rails max out at?

I noticed your red ones, they look beefy.

Gimme a call sometime, man! Would love to come over and check out the ride. Say, you want to go to Holt this or next weekend? Hit me up, Ben 291-4473

Depends on who you talk to. I hear up to 375HP to 400HP from different people. I went with the rails and braided line because, well braided lines rule for looks. (theres really no way in hell you need the burst pressure of these lines on a stock car like mine) It will never get that high ever. There more made for John Force Dragsters and such top fuelers. But if you flip back to the original cobbed fuel rail setup i had, youll see why i got rid of it. It never leaked, but looked tacky as hell with the brass fittings all over the place.

haha Also having the extra fuel in the logs would help on a super high horsepower car, but nothing that this stock bottom end will ever see.
When i looked at my skinny factory lines under the wheelwell comming from the tank, I kind of kicked myself in the pants for buying the high dollar setup. To really make use of my engine setup, i would have to run alot thicker fuel lines all the way to the tank. Other wise i would tell people not to waste money on a kit. It's not worth it, unless youre like me and absolutely love the look of braided stainless. (Im a sucker for them, i had them on my 1979 455 Trans Am also.)

Sure, I'll ring ya. I just got done doing chainsaw clearing from 8AM till 5PM yesterday and today and neighbor came over and ran the backhoe and smoothed out a big patch clearing for me on the land. Its bonfire time now, Ill get Marvin and any other people that want to come out one night and throw back some beers around the fire. I got 3 acres cleared already, so theres tons to burn, we wont run out. Im just letting all the branches dry out before i torch them in the middle dirt clearing. Bring your guns and ammo if you have any. i know Marvins got a nice new 45 slide, i was there when he bought it. Me an neighbor like target shooting out there. Tons of fun. haha

Finally won the wrestling match with the

charger exhale lower pipe and rubber boots alignment issues I was having and was holding up the front nose piece re-install. Got the intercooler mounted perfect with the welded brackets, and got rid of those straps holding it up.
Then i cut and modified the tubing to fit and did some creative cutting on the rubber boots to make everything fit around that gi-gunda fan. haha
All is done now and blowoff valve is mounted and bolted.
Here is some pics of the front. I still have all the ground clearance just like stock, with lowest part being the K member as was the plan.
I put the nose and headlights and corner lights back in, and started stripping down the grille. It's going to be gloss black with the chrome Lincoln emblem put back over top the black. My chrome was starting to chip and looked horrible, and i didnt want to reinstall it looking like that.

Finally got the grille done.

Finally got the grille done.

It's the second time i sprayed it. For some reason the first time half around the edges turned to crinkle paint. (I wet sanded the heck out of it too, and dont understand why it did that.
Had to sand it all down and start over. If this peels off ill get another chrome one down the road. But its a quick fix for now, and it looks alot better than the old chrome with the chipping flaking chrome layers on it. Car is pretty much done now till drop off at Lonnie's shop when i get time and income comming in again from job.

Are you going to put on the lower valance to try and give your IC some protection ? Car and all looks great - nice job.

Thankyou :)

I have stainless steel grate for the protection for the cooler, and im looking at either the Mustang Cobra lower valance to go along with the cobra hood, or the Pontiac Grand Prix 2000-2001 Lower valance for the grafting, then i get the foglights too since my headlights are pathetic.
I just dont want something obnoxious like the ricers body kits. I want it to flow with the subtle lines of the mark. it will have to be custom made im thinking using a modified Thunderbird valance could work also. They had a mouth open in the lower section for the radiator.
