Engines are the same, the 95s had a bad batch of intake valves. I'd go with a 93-94 The blocks are all the same you can simply swap manifolds from a 97/98 if you wanted a newer engine. 97/98 also use COP vs coil packs/wires.

I never "cut" a rotor on a vehicle, its either good or bad. Cutting them only causes issues in the long run.
