ANOTHER thread about front air suspension drama...

^ Awesome. used bags will likely hold you over til you can get others. I've done the same in the past

Raybestos Ceramic VS Monroe Ceramic pads?

I agree with everything Driller posted, and would like to add. The ceramic pads do last longer, but at the cost of decreasing the life of your rotor.

ANOTHER thread about front air suspension drama...

Tip: Start the car and let it jack itself up. Turn the air ride OFF. Drive the car for 50 miles. Does it drop? If so, replace both front bags. this procrastination, is doing one thing for sure. Killing the compressor. you probably only have 1 bag leaking really badly, which is why the car...

My 98 Will NOT Pass Emissions, Sec. Air Pump

sure, and that is perfect, but can you change any of the settings? like turn off this CEL? Or, what about other adjustments down the road that weren't addressed during the dyno tuning session? two different aspects here.

My 98 Will NOT Pass Emissions, Sec. Air Pump

I too agree, cheaper to fix the issue. now if you already had the tuning software, it might be a different story. but to spend a grand or more to stop a check engine light? nah.. just fix the problem itself.

Parting out mk8 and have a question.

Jeff/SVO welded some steel 2X2 box tube in place of the front stuts and welded casters to the ends. it worked well for holding the car up, and for moving the shell around.

Push Button for the Heads Up Display Not Working

reset button is the one that is pressed the most and also is the one that is pressed in anger or angst the most, as it removes the "check air ride" message, and that peskly low washer fluid warning. I've seen people hit that button pretty hard sometimes..haha. as mentioned, just replace it. is...

    Tread Wear, again

Try a set of Cooper Zeon ZPT's in 245/50/16 They are a good compromise between mileage and performance. Pay little attention to the "Advertised Mileage" rating of a tire that is kind of meaningless hype. Pay lots of attention to the treadwear rating of a tire. The higher the treadwear rating...

    Tread Wear, again

If they are evenly worn there isn't a problem. On my cars, I dont rotate. I put new tires on the front and move the front to the back. take the following with a grain of internet salt. Tire rotation in my opinion increases tire wear and decreases tire life overall. It plays right into the...

(coughs) Second gen M8 motor C heads Mach 1 intake *innocent look* P.S. the engine actually comes out the top! And..even funnier, a 4V in that body style you can actually look down beside the motor and see the ground, unlike in the mark 8. I always thought it was funny there was more room...
